Christmas in July at The Valley: Meet the Penguins!

This July, we’re bringing a little winter magic to summer with some very special guests… live penguins!
Join us on Sunday 20th July between 10am and 12pm to see four beautiful, summer-friendly penguins from the Southern Hemisphere, visiting us from a local zoo in Chipping Norton. These charming birds are perfectly suited to warmer climates and will be relaxing in a secure, shaded enclosure right in the heart of the shopping centre.
What You Need to Know:
The penguins will be in a secure, comfortable enclosure for everyone to enjoy.
No individual photo opportunities or queuing – just come along, take a stroll, and enjoy watching them waddle and play.
The event will be closely monitored by trained staff to ensure the penguins’ welfare at all times.
Please do not bring dogs near the enclosure – our team will be on hand to remind visitors and help keep the area calm and safe.
Animal welfare is our top priority – if conditions on the day aren’t suitable for the penguins, we will cancel the event to protect their wellbeing. Read our welfare statement here
