Visiting Penguins at The Valley Evesham

At The Valley Evesham, the welfare of all animals involved in our events is our highest priority. We are delighted to welcome a group of friendly, well-cared-for penguins to our venue for a special visit.

These penguins are Southern Hemisphere species, distinct from the Arctic types often associated with colder climates. They are naturally adapted to warmer temperatures and are perfectly comfortable in the environment provided at The Valley.

To ensure their continued wellbeing:

  • Our management team has personally visited the penguins’ home in nearby Chipping Norton to observe their care and living conditions. We are pleased to confirm that they are happy, healthy, and thriving under expert supervision.

  • The penguins are accustomed to visiting public spaces, including retail centres, schools, and care homes, and are calm and comfortable in such settings.

  • Throughout their time at The Valley, strict welfare protocols are in place. These include:

    • Regular welfare checks by trained handlers.

    • Quiet, shaded rest areas away from crowds.

    • Access to fresh water and appropriate food.

    • Limited interaction periods to avoid stress or fatigue.

The penguins’ welfare will be monitored continuously during the event, and adjustments will be made as needed to ensure they remain content and relaxed.

We are proud to host this unique experience and are committed to ensuring it is enjoyable and ethical for both our visitors and our animal guests.

Thank you for supporting responsible animal engagement.
