Skating at The Valley

Get into the Christmas spirit with The Valley’s outdoor skate rink!

Please note that skating at The Valley will be using high quality synthetic ice with a secret glide enhancer. We are confident that your skating experience will be as close to the real thing as possible. Not only that – you will be skating in a traditionally festive environment: outdoors, surrounded by Christmas trees and with the scent of mulled wine drifting through the frosty air!

NO ONLINE TICKETS available – will be purely cash sales on a first come first served basis.

We will be launching the rink at our late night opening on the 24th November with FREE skating!  The evening is in support of St Richard’s Hopice and whilst we will not be charging for a skate, we will be asking you to make a small donation in support of the Hospice instead.

Synthetic ice has many advantages

  • It’s environmentally friendly in that it has zero emissions – no chillers or compressors needed, no electricity and no noisy generators.
  • It is far less expensive – which means we can keep the ticket cost down!
  • It’s not cold and wet, just a little moist, so a lot less uncomfortable when/if you fall over!
  • It’s much safer for children to learn on.

Ticket prices: £5 adults  £3 children (under 16)

Please note that children age 12 and under must be supervised by an adult. We have penguins available free of charge to aid stability for small children.

Disabled access: Wheelchairs are welcome on the rink.

A registered disabled guest is entitled to one free carer when purchasing a relevant full price ticket. Documentation will need to be presented on arrival (e.g. blue/orange badge).
