Macmillan Coffee Morning Takeover

The Apple Barn Restaurant is hosting a giant Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Shoppers are encouraged to attend the open morning which is taking place between 10am and midday. 10% of hot drinks and cake sales will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

One in two people will face cancer in their lives and The Valley want to play their part in the fight against cancer.

The event is part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning run by Macmillan Cancer Support, which helps almost 2 million people with cancer every year.

Launched in 1990, the annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is celebrated around the UK. It brings friends and colleagues together over a cuppa or cup of coffee with the cost donated to Macmillian. In 2021, nationwide Coffee Mornings raised more than £21 million – a figure the charity hopes to top this year.

Emily Burton, Retail Commercial Manager at The Valley said: “It’s great to be partnering with Macmillan and to be creating such an exciting event. People affected by cancer need support now more than ever so we are hoping to raise as much money as possible.”
